Craving a sweet treat? This allergen-friendly five-minute mug cake is your new go-to! It's the perfect simple recipe for busy evenings, after-school cravings, or any time you need to satisfy your dessert desires!
Ingredients
3 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 tbsp water
4 tbsp flour
1 tsp baking powder
Allergen-friendly chocolate chips or toppings (as desired)
Directions:
In a separate bowl, stir together oil and sugar, then add vanilla.
Slowly incorporate water and flour, stirring with a whisk until you achieve a semi-solid mixture.
Add baking soda and chocolate chips to your preference.
Pour batter into 2 mugs. Flatten so that cake rises evenly.
Place mugs in a microwave for 1 minute and 5 seconds, adding 5 seconds as needed.
Check consistency with a toothpick to ensure mug cake is baked.
Add extra toppings if desired.
Chef’s Tip: Adding chocolate chips after baking melts them on top of the warm cake!
